Legal Aid for Rental Disputes
What does it mean?
Legal aid is government financial support for hiring legal representation. It can be granted to low-income individuals in rental disputes that can't be resolved through the Rent Tribunal.
To receive legal aid, your income must be below the threshold (currently about SEK 260,000/year). You pay a legal aid fee based on your finances. Legal aid isn't granted automatically — you must show you need legal help and the case has reasonable prospects of success.
